Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell, an American journalist and commentator who works with NBC News in Washington D.C. She is also a television anchor. She earned an Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Pennsylvania after growing up in New York City. Mitchell started her career as a reporter for KYW Radio and TV, Philadelphia in 1967. She became a reporter for the CBS-affiliate WDVM-TV, (then WTOP) located situated in Washington DC. In the following two years, she was hired by NBC News as a Washington reporter. In 1981 began covering the White House and became chief congressional correspondent in 1988. Mitchell became the Chief White House reporter in 1992 as well as the chief Foreign Affairs reporter at NBC News. Mitchell was a panelist, as well as host of the TV show Meet the Press.
